Russia to Continue Shift of Critical Infrastructure to Domestic Software
A report on the transition is to be submitted to the Russian government by December 16.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has instructed officials to prepare a report by December 15 on the transition of the country's critical infrastructure facilities to Russian-developed software.
The regulations must also include mechanisms for a gradual transition to ensure that ongoing projects can continue without disruption.
Officials have also been instructed to review by December 15 the sector-specific functional and technical priorities, as well as sector-specific IT landscapes, and align them with the digital transformation strategies of the respective industries.
Mintsifry and the Russian Foundation for Information Technology Development have also been instructed to prepare a report by September 1 on the deployment of Russian-developed digital technologies at industrial enterprises.
