Russian Clinics to Provide Free Wi-Fi for Patients

Public clinics in Russia are rolling out high-speed Wi-Fi to visitors. The system is designed to work independently of medical data networks, ensuring both convenience and security.
Patients in Russian clinics will now have access to free high-speed internet via Wi-Fi. Special focus is being placed on registration areas and inpatient wards, where large groups of people usually gather.
In the Saratov region, officials plan to expand the initiative to cover all clinics. Dedicated parallel networks are being built, with separate cabling and equipment, so that the Wi-Fi does not interfere with the medical information system.
The region is also addressing how to bring Wi-Fi to all hospitals. In addition, Saratov’s governor Roman Busargin has instructed local authorities to compile a registry of free internet access points in public spaces across Saratov and other cities in the region.
The regional Ministry of Digital Development and Communications is overseeing the expansion of Wi-Fi infrastructure in the regional capital.
