Russia’s Real Estate Agency Launches AI-Powered Image Labeling Platform
The new Eva.Lab system from Roskadastre streamlines data preparation for machine learning and supports the country’s shift to domestic tech.

Russia’s Roskadastre, the state agency responsible for cataloging real estate, has introduced Eva.Lab, a homegrown platform designed to label and classify images for use in AI systems. Developed by the agency’s tech branch, Roskadastre-Infotech, the platform is part of Russia’s ongoing import substitution strategy, which aims to replace foreign software with domestic alternatives.
Eva.Lab simplifies the process of preparing high-quality datasets for computer vision applications. Users can annotate and categorize objects in photos, verify their accuracy, and export data in formats optimized for AI training. The interface is built for accessibility — even users without technical expertise can contribute to creating datasets that help computers “see” and interpret visual information.
Faster Digital Services Through Homegrown Tech
Eva.Lab is one of several digital initiatives underway at Roskadastre. The agency recently tested its own ziVert virtualization system, which boosted virtual machine performance by 25 percent, helping speed up online public services.
Together, these projects signal how Russia’s real estate agency is building a fully domestic tech stack to power its growing digital infrastructure.
