MTS has launched a new service that makes it significantly easier for businesses to access the wholesale electricity market. The platform is designed for small and midsize organizations with electricity demand ranging from 750 kW to 20 MW.

According to the developers, the service handles much of the routine administrative work, including document preparation, coordination with regulators, and approval of electricity delivery points. It also enables businesses to install and configure a commercial electricity metering system that meets all regulatory requirements for participation in the wholesale market.

The new platform is suitable for companies across a wide range of industries and is designed to help reduce energy procurement costs.

"Many businesses continue buying electricity through retail suppliers and end up paying more because they are intimidated by the complex process of entering the wholesale electricity market. The MTS platform removes that barrier entirely. It helps customers estimate potential savings, complete all required approvals, and install a compliant metering system so they can purchase electricity at wholesale prices," said Pavel Podkolzin, Director of Integrated Products at MTS.
