Modular Data Center Deployed at Mining Site in Yakutia
The project was completed by Datark in partnership with systems integrator TekForce Engineering.
Datark, together with systems integrator TekForce Engineering, has deployed a modular data center at a mining site in Russia's Sakha (Yakutia) Republic. The facility will support the IT infrastructure of a major mining enterprise and is designed to enable the rapid deployment of computing resources as part of a Mobile Headquarters Complex concept.
The modular data center houses six server racks and can accommodate equipment with a combined power consumption of up to 55 kilowatts. To improve fault tolerance, the facility is equipped with an N+1 redundant uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system.
Construction was carried out with the harsh conditions of the Far North in mind. To minimize the risk of damage from ground subsidence, the modular facility was installed on piles that elevate the structure 1.5 meters above the ground.
