Rosneft Develops Digital Service to Improve Oil Production Efficiency
The new system has successfully completed pilot operation.
Engineers from Bashneft and a Rosneft research institute have developed a new digital service called Virtualny raskhodomer (Virtual Flow Meter) to monitor oil production at individual wells. The system compares actual well output with production potential in real time, allowing operators to quickly identify where oil production can be increased.
The service continuously exchanges data with Rosneft's RN VEGA corporate software platform. As a result, calculations for each well are completed in about 10 seconds. The system has successfully completed pilot operation, confirming its reliability and accuracy. It is already in use at one of the company's oil fields, helping specialists make operational decisions to optimize production.
Rosneft plans to integrate the new service with its RN-Prediks.Saturn integrated digital oilfield management system and deploy it at additional production assets.
