Russia and Brazil plan to expand cooperation in technology, including artificial intelligence, digital public services, and automation, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at the eighth meeting of the Russia–Brazil High-Level Commission on Cooperation.

“Russia is ready to share its expertise in promising areas such as peaceful nuclear technologies, the deployment of artificial intelligence, digital public services, and automated solutions across a wide range of sectors,” Mishustin said.

The heads of government of Russia and Brazil also highlighted strong demand for cooperation in science, technology, and innovation. They agreed to step up joint projects in areas including nano- and biotechnology, quantum technologies, astrophysics, space, climate change, and computer technologies.

Business Is Already Engaged

Russian companies are already active in Brazil’s IT market. The director for international development at ITGLOBALCOM RUS LLC described the work of an IT product distributor offering the SimpleOne automation platform, the vStack hyperconverged virtualization platform, ITPOD data storage systems, and Stingray SG traffic management software. The company plans to double its network of local integration partners in Brazil in 2026.

Strong Growth Potential

Experts in Russia’s IT industry see significant potential in the Brazilian market. Konstantin Smirnov, managing partner at Korus Consulting Group, said Russian digital products have competitive advantages and opportunities for targeted cooperation with Brazilian partners. David Martirosov, chief executive of Basis, called Brazil one of the most important markets where Russian technologies for data centers, cloud services, and infrastructure could see widespread adoption.

Overall, the exchange of expertise and technologies is strengthening bilateral ties and opening new opportunities for exporting Russian digital products abroad.
