Data Ocean Nova Update Eliminates Thousands of Security Vulnerabilities
Data Sapience has released version 2026.2.0 of its Data Ocean Nova Lakehouse platform, with the update focused on strengthening cybersecurity and expanding LPSQL procedural capabilities.

As part of an optimization of the platform's container images, developers eliminated 5,733 security vulnerabilities, including 340 classified as critical. The number of known vulnerabilities detected by the Trivy scanner fell by 97.8%, with 1,103 unique CVEs remediated. The release also tightens access permissions for service components, reducing the risk of unauthorized access to data.
The update also expands LPSQL by introducing case-insensitive function calls, making it easier to migrate scripts from other database systems while reducing syntax errors. Session parameters are now automatically applied to all nested queries, providing consistent procedural logic across the Nova StarRocks and Nova Impala engines.
