Sber’s GigaCode Becomes AI Partner for Developers
The company integrates an AI module into its GitVerse platform, expanding automation and code assistance capabilities
Russian IT company Sber has integrated its GigaCode AI assistant into the GitVerse platform for working with code, according to the company’s press service. The system acts as an active participant in software development – answering documentation-related questions, creating repositories and projects, and generating commit descriptions and names for file changes. All tasks are performed autonomously, with interaction handled through a chat interface. Built-in security tools automatically scan code for vulnerabilities and help prevent data leaks.
Technologies Augment Developers
Around 200,000 engineers are already using the GitVerse platform. Sber aims to provide them with an environment for developing advanced domestic solutions, with updates released based on user feedback. The platform also now includes GitVerse Pages, a service for hosting documentation, demos, blogs, and notes.
As Andrey Belevtsev, Senior Vice President and head of Sberbank’s Technology Development unit, put it, the combination of embedded AI and security in GitVerse represents an architecture of the future, where technology augments human capabilities.
