Sber Adds Gig Work Search to Its Mobile Banking App
Sberbank has launched a service that helps users find temporary shifts and freelance assignments from major companies inside the SberBank Online app. The service is available in 82 Russian regions and received the Customer Experience of the Year award at the FinForce 2026 awards in March 2026.

Users can search for opportunities near their homes and filter listings by pay level, type of assignment, shift hours, and work schedule. Registration is completed through Sber ID, with profiles filled in automatically and no need to manually upload documents. Some assignments also include training materials and onboarding instructions.
Payment is transferred to a user's bank card immediately after work is completed, and tax receipts are generated automatically. Users can also register as self-employed directly through the app if needed. According to a study conducted by Sber together with the Public Opinion Foundation and Russia's Ministry of Economic Development, 46% of self-employed Russians say they may take on additional gig work within the next 12 months.
