Robotic Dairy Farm Set to Open in Russia's Saratov Region in 2027
Automatic milking robots have already been installed at the facility and will operate without direct human involvement.
Construction is continuing on a robotic dairy complex in the Turkovsky District of Russia's Saratov Region. The project represents an investment of 1.2 billion rubles (about $16 million) and is scheduled to begin operations in 2027.
The new farm is built around extensive automation designed to reduce operating costs, maintain consistent product quality, and help offset labor shortages. Eight robotic milking systems have already been installed and will carry out the core milking process without continuous staff involvement.
Construction of four livestock housing buildings has been completed, utility networks have been connected, and an independent water supply system has been put in place. Once operational, the dairy complex will become one of the region's most advanced livestock facilities and will support the ongoing modernization of the Saratov Region's agricultural sector.
