Russia Launches Nationwide AI Ethics Courses for Students and Educators
The free training program from Sberbank teaches how to use the Gigachat neural network responsibly in education and research.
Sberbank has launched a series of free online courses designed to help students, university professors, and schoolteachers learn the ethical and effective use of artificial intelligence. The program, titled “Gigachat AI Assistant in Education,” combines theory, practical exercises, and real-world examples of how to integrate AI into learning and teaching.
Three Tracks for Different Audiences
The program offers three separate tracks: “Gigachat for Study and Career” — for students, focusing on using AI in research and project work while maintaining academic integrity; “Gigachat in Higher Education” — for university professors, demonstrating how to personalize learning and streamline academic workflows with AI tools; “Gigachat for Teachers” — for K–12 educators, showing how to use neural networks in daily teaching, from creative projects to research and mentoring.
All course materials are available through Netology, Sber’s Summer Digital School, and the learning management systems of partner universities.
The initiative is part of Russia’s broader effort to embed AI literacy and ethics into national education — ensuring that future professionals can harness technologies like Gigachat, Sberbank’s large language model, responsibly and effectively.
