HSE Becomes First Russian University to Register Research Rights Directly on a Blockchain Network
HSE University has become the first Russian university to join the RTSIS.RF blockchain network as an independent node.

The move allows the university to register rights to the results of its research directly through its own Repository of Scientific and Technical Information, eliminating the need for intermediaries.
The RTSIS.RF network is a public-private blockchain infrastructure for managing intellectual property rights. It was established under a presidential decree issued on June 28, 2021.
The registry already contains records for the first 30 intellectual property assets created at HSE University, covering fields ranging from economics and sociology to molecular biology. The first blockchain transaction transferring rights has also been completed, assigning rights to a report on scenarios for Russia's economic development to one of the university's partners, EFKO Management Company.
According to Vishnyakova, each registered asset is accompanied by a complete set of supporting documents, making it a fully documented intellectual property asset.
