LogLab Cuts Financial Reporting Time Fivefold

Logistics operator LogLab has consolidated warehouse, transport, and accounting data into a single digital management accounting system. Previously, employees compiled this data manually, which was time-consuming and error-prone.

The problem was solved by integrating all of the company's systems with a unified platform based on 1C Finansist. Counterparties, goods, and expense items became uniform across the entire group, and data are automatically distributed to all divisions from a single center. The program itself determines which warehouse, branch, or client a document belongs to, eliminating manual processing errors, while any line in a report can be traced back to the source document to verify the figures.

Before launching the system, finance staff manually reviewed and corrected over 30,000 documents for 2024–2025, developed a unified chart of accounts, and established rules for allocating expenses by facility and client. The solution itself was written by the company's IT division, DigitLab. The project took six months, including three months of testing.

As a result, reporting preparation time dropped from 25 working days to five, overdue receivables owed to the company were halved, and employee workload decreased by 10% after manual spreadsheet consolidation was eliminated. The investment in developing the system paid for itself within a year.

"In logistics, the management accounting challenge is addressed in context: financial accounting here cannot be separated from operational systems — cash flows have to be linked to warehouse processes and vehicle movement. If a solution works in such an environment, it will certainly work in more linear businesses," explained Dmitry Bolotyuk, IT Director at LogLab.

After successful testing, the in-house development was turned into a market-ready product, now offered to clients as part of the company's contract warehousing service.
