Russian Developers Link Virtualization Platform With Storage System

Storage vendor ARGO.TECH and IT company UTINET have successfully tested interoperability between their products, confirming that the UtiNet Glovirt virtualization platform works seamlessly with the ARGO storage system.

Following the tests, engineers identified several practical deployment scenarios. The storage system can serve as a target repository for backups and snapshots, while UtiNet Glovirt's built-in interface allows administrators to automate backup operations on a scheduled basis. The next stage will focus on metro cluster deployments, which connect multiple sites into a single fault-tolerant environment. If one site goes offline, services automatically switch to a backup location.

"We achieved compatibility between UTINET and our storage system across all critical areas. This is further evidence that Russian IT products can compete with international alternatives," said Andrey Kuchinsky, CEO of ARGO.TECH.

Both products are included in Russia's domestic software registry. The certification paves the way for building fully import-independent infrastructure for enterprise customers.
