Teleport Deploys Autonomous Communications Network at Remote Yakutia Mining Site
The system supports both workforce communications and monitoring of industrial operations.

An autonomous communications network has been deployed at the Burguat gold mining project in Russia's Yakutia region. The site is located more than 170 kilometers from the nearest populated area, requiring the infrastructure to be built in conditions with virtually no existing ground-based communications network.
The project was completed by Teleport LLC, which developed a hybrid system combining a satellite data link with a commercial 2G mobile network. The deployment provides employees with voice communications and access to digital services used for operational response and coordination.
Beyond communications, the network serves as a foundation for digital oversight of production activities. Monitoring systems connected to the network track bulldozers, excavators, haul trucks, and other mining equipment in real time.
