Ufa's 18th-Century Kremlin Recreated in Virtual Reality

Residents of Ufa were able to explore a virtual reconstruction of the city's 18th- and 19th-century Kremlin during an interactive VR tour developed by the Innovation Center for Professional Education and Digital Pedagogy, a recipient of a grant from the Ufa city administration.

The presentation took place on June 12 at Aksakov Garden as part of the traveling museum information truck project, Ufa v Dvizhenii (Ufa on the Move).

Using VR headsets, visitors stepped into digital reconstructions of historical landmarks, learned about key events and cultural eras in Bashkortostan's history, and interacted with elements of the exhibition. The program showcased the city's heritage and illustrated how Ufa's appearance evolved over the centuries.

The tours were conducted in Russian and Bashkir and combined modern technology with archival materials, making the study of local history more engaging and memorable.

Beginning with the new academic year, the project will be introduced in Ufa schools, where these virtual journeys through time will become part of the educational curriculum for young residents.
