Russian developers have created an intelligent occupational safety system. Representatives of the developer, Beeline Big Data & AI, shared results from its deployment at a cable manufacturing plant in the Volga region.

Artificial intelligence monitors compliance with safety rules when working with equipment. A pilot phase showed that occupational safety costs were reduced by 70 percent.

Previously, this work was done by staff members, who had to spend hours reviewing surveillance camera footage. AI based on computer vision analyzes video feeds faster and more efficiently, detecting the presence of protective gear and compliance with technological processes.

Real-Time Alerts

When a violation is detected, the responsible specialist immediately receives an alert. Such incidents are stored in a database with tags for further review and analysis if needed. Occupational safety engineers now receive ready-made analytics instead of raw footage.

According to the developers, the system can operate both in the cloud and on a company’s internal infrastructure. The platform is expected to bring industrial safety in Russia to a new technological level.
