Open Vision Migrates Achimgaz IT Infrastructure to Russian Technologies

System integrator Open Vision has completed a project to replace the IT infrastructure of Achimgaz at one of the company's gas processing facilities with Russian-developed technologies. The migration was completed without interrupting production operations.

Achimgaz develops Block 1A of the Achimov formations at the Urengoy oil and gas condensate field in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The project replaced server and networking equipment, storage systems, virtualization infrastructure, and backup systems with domestic alternatives. The new infrastructure was deployed in parallel with the existing environment, allowing operations to continue throughout the migration.

"The customer's infrastructure was originally built primarily on technologies from international vendors, including VMware, Cisco, and Huawei," said Alexander Isakov, Head of Project Management at Open Vision.

According to Isakov, the limited availability of technical support and software updates had created additional operational risks under current conditions. As a result, the project involved more than simply replacing individual components—it required migrating the infrastructure's core systems to Russian technologies while maintaining performance, fault tolerance, and information security requirements.
