A Rosseti subsidiary intends to carry out a large-scale modernization of its enterprise information security systems. Two lots with a combined value of 134.8 million rubles ($~1.5 million) have been put up for tender.

Of that sum, 81.3 million rubles are expected to go toward strengthening network security and virtualization. Another 53.5 million rubles will be allocated to deploying a privileged access management (PAM) system with 36 months of technical support.

One of the project's goals is import substitution. Foreign equipment (Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco and Huawei switches, MikroTik routers) will be replaced with domestic alternatives: UserGate firewalls, Continent 3.9 crypto gateways, VEGMAN and YADRO servers, Tatlin.Flex.Pro storage systems, the zVirt virtualization platform, and Indeed Privileged Access Manager software.

The equipment replacement is planned across nine sites, including the executive office in Moscow, the Kitay-Gorod data center, and branches in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Pyatigorsk, Krasnoyarsk, Khabarovsk, Melitopol, and Simferopol.
