Russian Companies Combine Industrial Management Systems Into a Unified Platform

Borlas Group and OMEGALLIANCE have unveiled a joint platform that connects core industrial management systems into a single digital chain, linking product design directly with manufacturing.

At the 10th anniversary Praktiki tsifrovizatsii (Digitalization Practices) conference in Moscow, Borlas Group production consulting director Aleksandr Rybakov described a problem facing many Russian factories: separate digital management systems often operate in isolation and cannot exchange data efficiently. That slows projects and limits the benefits of digital transformation. The companies responded by integrating four major systems – PLM, ERP, APS and MES – into a single platform built on Russian software products. Manufacturers no longer need to configure links between the systems manually, as the platform works out of the box. According to company estimates, the approach can reduce deployment times by up to 30% and save at least six months on integration work.

“Our experience shows that this approach can shorten the preparation and transition cycle for mass production by 20% to 30%, reduce manufacturing cycles by 10% to 15%, and increase equipment utilization rates to 80% to 90% while also improving bottleneck-planning accuracy,” Aleksandr Rybakov said.
