Senseair, a Skolkovo resident company, has begun testing new touchless interfaces in the operating rooms of Moscow’s Pervaya Gradskaya Hospital. The systems allow medical staff to control digital equipment without physically touching screens.

The technology is based on a system that creates volumetric optical images, helping address the challenge of keeping computer equipment sterile in surgical environments.

“We are creating touch interfaces that have no physical surface. In medicine, this means not just convenience, but a new level of safety and quality of work,” said Senseair CEO Ivan Sukhorukov.

The company is currently evaluating the usability and reliability of the system under real operating conditions. Over time, the technology could be deployed not only in Russian healthcare facilities but also exported abroad. The pilot project is being carried out with support from the Skolkovo Foundation and the Moscow Innovation Cluster.
