The Afanasy Fet Estate Museum in 2nd Vorobyovka, Kursk Region, has added new interactive exhibits for visitors as part of the Semya (Family) national project.

A multimedia installation lets visitors learn what the poet ate: a screen shows a table setting and menus from the estate’s kitchen, including a detailed step-by-step guide to making apple pastila. Another new feature is an interactive mirror that lets visitors try on 19th-century clothing and take a photo in the estate’s interiors. A musical bench has also been installed in the park, allowing visitors to listen to Fet’s poems while seated.

“Thanks to the Semya national project, the Usadba Feta (Fet Estate Museum) now has interactive exhibits that make the past tangible and accessible to everyone,” said Artyom Demidov, deputy governor of Kursk Region.

According to him, the museum does not keep history behind glass but invites visitors to engage with it, while new technologies make that conversation accessible and engaging for everyone.
