Russia to Create a Geo-Platform to Monitor Couriers
The system is to track traffic violations by delivery workers in real time.

In Russia’s northern capital, a dedicated geospatial information system will be introduced to monitor the work of couriers, St. Petersburg Vice Governor Kirill Polyakov said during a government livestream.
The system will identify couriers in real time and track their routes. Notifications about detected traffic violations will be sent to employers. According to the vice governor, the GIS platform will simplify the review of incidents and increase accountability among delivery services.
A Unified Control System for the City
Public safety and order in Saint Petersburg are supported by connecting city surveillance cameras to the neural network complex Gorodovoi (City Watch).
Around 20,000 cameras across four central districts automatically detect various violations. The neural network analyzes video feeds around the clock and sends responsible parties a message with a photo of the issue. If the violation is not addressed, the information is forwarded to an inspector.
Looking ahead, the city plans to create a unified automated system to monitor urban maintenance and public amenities.
