In Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod region, residents can now sign up for workouts, locate sports complexes, and purchase memberships through a single online platform, regional authorities said.

So far, 76 fitness and wellness centers have been connected to the Unified Aggregator of Sports Organizations. For residents, the service simplifies access to classes, while for staff it reduces administrative workload and allows them to focus more on service quality.

The platform functions as a shared digital workspace for sports institutions. It is used to manage reporting, handle financial operations, and track attendance. The aggregator is integrated with the Nizhny Novgorod Region Resident Card, which can be used as an access pass to sports facilities. Eligible groups can also apply online for discounted visits.

Over the past year, 44 additional organizations have joined the aggregator, and more are expected to follow. Authorities plan to expand the project into the social services sector.

Digital technologies are increasingly improving access to sports facilities across Russian regions. In the Moscow region, for example, artificial intelligence is used to analyze attendance at fitness centers and adjust schedules and capacity accordingly.
