Participants in the Moscow Innovation Cluster, the Innovators Academy program, and the Novator Moskvy award are developing advanced technologies for cancer prevention and treatment.

One example is Tretye Mnenie (Third Opinion), an AI-powered service that assists physicians in interpreting mammograms. The neural network analyzes medical images and pre-fills reports, flagging signs of breast cancer. The tool is currently used by more than 10,000 doctors across 2,500 medical organizations in 58 regions of Russia.

Another Novator Moskvy award winner is Oncobox, an analytics platform that predicts the effectiveness of more than 170 targeted and immunotherapy drugs used in cancer treatment.

Biosensor and Scanner

A biosensor developed by scientists at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology significantly accelerates cancer diagnostics. The technology is based on a microchip coated with antibodies that analyze a blood sample. Signals from biomarkers are amplified using gold nanoparticles, while an optical scanner tracks changes in real time. An AI-based algorithm processes the data and delivers the results.

Another example is OneCell Scan 3.0, a domestically developed scanner designed for fast and precise cancer diagnostics. The AI-enabled device is currently being tested at the Leningrad Regional Clinical Hospital. OneCell Scan 3.0 features an automated system for analyzing biological tissue and identifying pathological cells.
