A digital assistant called Karta Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi Map) has launched in Russia’s Pskov Region, Governor Mikhail Vedernikov said. The service operates within the MAX messenger and displays nearby free internet access points. The region currently has 232 such hotspots, located in parks, at bus stops, and near tourist sites. Users can connect via the Gosuslugi (public services portal) or by phone.

Finds and Helps Connect

Users can open the map to instantly see the nearest access point. The bot provides the address and explains how to connect.

Owners of cafés, hotels, and retail spaces can add their Wi-Fi hotspots to the shared map by submitting a request through the bot. The regional authorities handle user authentication. Officials say the region continues to expand digital services, focusing on a comfortable urban environment where reliable internet access is now considered essential.
