An innovative IT laboratory for training software specialists is set to open at the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, according to the press service of RED SOFT.

At the new educational facility, students will study domestically developed solutions for IT services and research.

They will learn to build their own software products on Russian platforms and conduct experiments using locally developed database management systems. The goal of the lab, the company said, is to create an immersive IT environment that prepares students to tackle the challenges of the digital economy.

A Base Hub for Domestic Software

The university is implementing the project in partnership with RED SOFT, a developer of Russian software. The curriculum will incorporate infrastructure virtualization tools, database management systems, and the RED OS operating system. Company specialists plan to run master classes and collaborate on joint research and development projects. Students will also be able to complete internships and earn certifications from RED SOFT.

In the longer term, the IT lab is expected to evolve into a competence center for domestic infrastructure products used in the nuclear power sector. The laboratory is scheduled to open on February 10.
