Bureau 1440 Satellite Communications Service to Be Tested in Belarus
Testing is expected to begin in the coming weeks.
Testing of a low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite communications service developed by Russian company Bureau 1440 is scheduled to begin in Belarus in the coming weeks. The trials will be conducted under an agreement with Belintersat signed in May 2026, Alexey Shelobkov, head of ICS Holding, said.
Shelobkov noted that Bureau 1440 is developing a global satellite network and is therefore actively negotiating with potential international partners.
“Global coverage is built into the target architecture of our system. This enables us to expand into international markets. As our talks with other countries produce concrete results, we will share more details. For now, we are still in the preparation stage,” Shelobkov added.
