Rostec Brings Defense-Grade Cybersecurity to Small Businesses

Rosel, a holding company within Rostec, has released an update to its ECP VeiL cloud virtualization platform, making cybersecurity capabilities previously available only to government agencies and defense industry organizations accessible to small and medium-sized businesses.

Version 5.3.0 introduces trusted boot for virtual machines, preventing a virtual environment from starting if its files or configuration have been altered without authorization. The platform also monitors physical servers, automatically blocks suspicious activity, and allows only an administrator to remove those restrictions. In addition, the update improves load-balancing algorithms and strengthens fault tolerance during system failures.

"Today's cyber threat landscape has become so challenging that we considered it essential to adapt these technologies for the commercial version of VeiL as well. Small and medium-sized businesses can now build genuinely trusted virtual infrastructure within their organizations," said Anton Balitsky, CEO of the Masshtab Research Institute.

The platform is designed to support deployments of ERP and CRM systems, email servers, and corporate portals.
