Siberian Schoolchildren Get a Taste of Engineering
One hundred students from four Siberian regions attended Tomsk Polytechnic University’s Engineering Camp, where they explored a range of engineering careers.

Participants visited the university’s research nuclear reactor and facilities operated by Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk and Gazpromneft-Vostok. Each year, motivated school students from 64 Russian regions and 63 countries choose the university to pursue a high-quality education.
During the workshops, participants tried their hand at lighting design and chemical analysis, learned to develop intelligent control systems for technical facilities, and explored careers in artificial intelligence.
The project, Mission: Engineer – An Ecosystem for Developing Siberia’s Future Engineers, was implemented with grant support from the Movement of the First and Tomsk Polytechnic University.
