Russia Builds the Future as Housebuilding IT Shifts Toward a Unified Ecosystem
The shift to domestic software in the construction sector is becoming a driver of technological sovereignty.
Russian construction companies are actively rolling out advanced digital technologies to create a fully independent and secure IT environment. A key task has become integrating a wide range of disparate domestic software products – from design systems to sales platforms – into a single, smoothly functioning ecosystem. Rustam Saidov, director of digital transformation at Arkhplei Development, told IT-Russia.
A New IT Infrastructure
In the past, the entire workflow – from drafting to project delivery – was often managed using foreign software. Today, these tools have been replaced by Russian-developed solutions. Companies, including startups from Skolkovo and Innopolis, now offer competitive products for design, the creation of digital twins, and so-called smart documentation. At the same time, instead of relying on a single monolithic product, companies may now be operating more than fifteen different software systems simultaneously.
According to him, what makes this project unique is the creation of a fundamentally new IT infrastructure in which data protection is placed at the center.
Security Takes Center Stage
This large-scale transition is of strategic importance for the country. It lays the groundwork for the independent development of the entire construction sector, making it more efficient and resilient. The steady emergence of new Russian products, closely followed by industry experts, shows that digital transformation in Russia’s construction industry is gaining momentum and shaping its own technological standard.
