The Orenburg-based company OK-Engineering (OrenKlip) is demonstrating that world-class, high-tech meat-processing equipment can be developed and manufactured in Russia. Its solutions are increasingly competing directly with products from leading international brands.

Domestic equipment is not merely an alternative, but a full-fledged solution adapted to local conditions. The company’s achievements and development plans were outlined to IT-Russia by CEO Dmitry Dmitriev.

Robots on Sausage and Nugget Production Lines

“Domestic equipment is no longer just a possibility, it is a competitive alternative to imports. Our tangible results – operating production lines and signed contracts – speak louder than words,” Dmitriev said.

A key example is the RUS-600 robotic sausage-laying line, fully designed and assembled in-house. Its capacity reaches up to 1,170 sausages per minute. In 2025, the Orenburg Plant of Automation and Robotics (OZAR) was launched in record time. The facility is already producing robotic loaders and TF-245 thermoformers on a serial basis – equivalents of German machines – with dozens of contracts already signed.

The company places particular emphasis on building full-cycle technologies. Beyond packaging, OrenKlip is developing high-capacity slaughter lines for farm animals. The company has also made a breakthrough in the processed foods segment.

“We now produce processed food equipment without relying on imported components. For example, a nugget production line with a capacity of five tons per hour, delivered for one of our clients, is a fully Russian-built solution,” Dmitriev said.

Rethinking the Selection Logic

At OrenKlip, the key competitive advantages of Russian-made equipment are seen as full adaptation to local conditions, including climate and raw material specifics, as well as fast and responsive service support. This is changing the decision-making logic for many producers.

The company’s development priorities include increasing its share of the domestic market and expanding into CIS countries and other international markets. The creation of technologies such as an automated slicer currently under development, featuring a unique shaft over 600 millimeters wide – with comparable solutions offered by only two companies worldwide – marks a step toward full technological independence for Russia’s food industry and stronger positions on the global stage.
