Russia Turns to AI-Powered Tools to Improve Women’s Health
Two new digital platforms in Moscow track pregnancy and preventive care, helping doctors spot risks early and personalize treatment.

Moscow has launched two new AI-driven healthcare services—the Pregnancy Registry and Preventive Monitoring—to improve women’s health outcomes. Both modules are integrated into the city’s Unified Medical Information and Analytical System (EMIAS), which automatically analyzes patient data and flags potential complications before they become serious, according to Deputy Mayor Anastasia Rakova.
“The Pregnancy Registry monitors key health indicators in real time, while EMIAS algorithms calculate individual risk levels for each woman,” Rakova said.
Personalized care powered by data
The Preventive Monitoring system focuses on patients requiring long-term observation. It classifies them into three groups—“Pay Attention,” “Under Supervision,” and “Removed from Observation.” If data is incomplete, the system automatically schedules follow-up tests.
The initiative is part of Moscow’s broader digital transformation in healthcare, where predictive analytics and real-time data help doctors prevent problems instead of just treating them—moving women’s health toward a smarter, more proactive future.
