Rostelecom Supports Creation of AI Lab at Buryat University
Rostelecom is supporting a project to establish an artificial intelligence and information security lab at the Buryat Institute of Information Technologies, a branch of the Siberian State University of Telecommunications and Informatics (SibSUTIS).

Students and faculty will use the new lab to conduct research, put their findings into practice, and deploy advanced technologies in AI and cybersecurity.
“Our university partnership goes back many years. This institution is a major source of talent for the republic’s IT industry. We plan to hold workshops and other events for students at the new lab. One of our immediate priorities is to demonstrate how artificial intelligence can be applied in different fields, using Rostelecom’s new Neiroshlyuz [“Neurogateway” – ed. note] platform as an example. The solution is already in use in Buryatia’s public sector,” said Tatyana Borisova, Deputy Director and Director of Mass-Market Operations at Rostelecom’s Buryat branch.
The new educational facility is scheduled to open by the end of the year as part of celebrations marking the university’s 65th anniversary.
