In Moscow Region, Dental Prosthetics Benefits Go Digital
Residents no longer have to visit social services offices in person.
Moscow Region has simplified the process for obtaining benefits for dental prosthetics. All related procedures have now been moved online, so residents no longer need to contact social services offices in person.
Applications are submitted through Gosuslugi (Public Services), after which an electronic algorithm takes over. It checks whether the applicant is eligible for benefits. If an application is submitted by a representative of an elderly person, the system also verifies the validity of the power of attorney.
Importantly, duplicate applications are now completely ruled out. If one application has already been taken up for processing, the system will not allow a second one to be submitted. This is intended to prevent confusion.
Another new feature concerns deadline tracking. Previously, benefit recipients had to remember when the service period for their dental prostheses expired. The system now tracks these dates and, when the time comes, helps arrange a referral to public dental clinics in Moscow Region.
