InfoWatch Launches New Course on Cyber Incident Investigations Using Proprietary Tools

On July 10, 2025, InfoWatch Academy launched a new advanced online course focused on cyber incident investigations using its proprietary software suite—Activity Monitor, Prediction, Data Discovery, Vision, Data Access Tracker, and Device Control. The training takes place in a simulated environment with randomized scenarios and includes individual coaching sessions.
For Industry Professionals
The course is designed for cybersecurity professionals, engineers, IT security personnel, and compliance staff. Offered in a fully remote format, it is accessible across Russia. The program comprises 50 academic hours and includes individual online sessions with a trainer. Upon completion, participants receive a continuing education certificate.
As data leakage threats continue to grow, practical investigative skills are critical to strengthening the industry. This course directly contributes to upskilling cybersecurity personnel. The beneficiaries are not only the professionals themselves but also society at large. Stronger data protection means fewer scandals over leaked personal data or financial losses. In the long term, these educational efforts support the export of both tools and expertise, helping to elevate Russia’s standing in global cybersecurity.

More Than 4,000 Projects
While this course is primarily aimed at domestic users, InfoWatch’s incident investigation technologies are already in use abroad. Future adaptations for international learners are on the table.
The initiative also helps entrench a cybersecurity culture within Russian organizations. It encourages investigative protocols as a standard, boosts automation, and speeds up incident response. Founded in 2003, InfoWatch Academy has delivered more than 4,000 projects in 26 countries and holds 19 patents—making Russia a global technology contender. The company employs over 550 staff.

Commitment to Holistic Data Protection
In 2017, Gartner named InfoWatch a top Russian DLP vendor for its Traffic Monitor 6.5 solution. Since then, the company has launched several key products. In 2021, Data Access Tracker was introduced to audit changes in user accounts and directories. In 2022, ARMA Industrial Firewall gained support for 16 industrial protocols—enhancing protection of industrial networks and critical information infrastructure.
In 2023, Traffic Monitor was integrated with Frisbee, an AI-powered corporate messenger listed in the Russian software registry. Designed for large organizations, Frisbee supports secure data storage either on client-side servers or trusted data centers—making it suitable for government entities.
These innovations illustrate InfoWatch’s continued expansion and its commitment to holistic data protection, culminating in the launch of this practical, expert-led training course.

Expanding the Data Security Ecosystem
The course marks a natural progression in InfoWatch’s strategy to evolve from building products to cultivating cybersecurity talent. Future plans include broader course offerings, including modules for government bodies and critical infrastructure specialists.
The company also plans to offer international learning options—such as English-language courses and global certification programs—while strengthening ties with educational institutions and recruitment firms to attract the right participants.
