Russia Is Building a Futuristic IT Park for Science and Innovation

On an island near Vladivostok, research labs, VR forums, and game development studios are taking shape.
A new high-tech campus is coming to Russia’s Far East—and it’s designed to be more than just a collection of research labs. Dubbed simply “IT-Park,” the upcoming scientific and educational complex will fuse cutting-edge research, real-world prototyping, and a culture of innovation under one roof.
Located on Russky Island, just off the coast of Vladivostok, the site will become part of the Russky Innovation Center. The project has already cleared state-level technical approval, with experts giving it the green light for construction in full compliance with federal standards.
The complex will span three interconnected buildings, ranging from three to four stories, unified by a central atrium. Special attention in the design phase was given to noise and vibration control—a crucial requirement for advanced research in microelectronics and other precision fields.
The goal? To create a space where engineers, scientists, and students can collaborate across disciplines—from hardware prototyping to AI system design.
The park is slated to open in 2026 and will also serve as a venue for tech exhibitions, academic conferences, and national innovation forums.
But that’s not the only project underway. Just a few miles away, construction has begun on a dedicated game development and animation center—a five-story hub where Russian creators will develop homegrown gaming IPs and animation content. The site will include zones for conferences, workshops, and even esports competitions, aiming to bolster Russia’s position in the digital creative economy.
