Russian Companies Urged to Bolster Cybersecurity With AI

As cyberattacks grow more sophisticated, experts say AI is the only way to stay ahead of the curve—and beat hackers at their own game

Russian companies should adopt artificial intelligence more aggressively to strengthen their cybersecurity strategies and accelerate threat response, according to Maxim Buzinov, head of the R&D lab at Solar Group. In an interview with TASS, he emphasized that traditional protection tools are no longer sufficient, and that speed and automation are now critical.

“In today’s landscape, it’s essentially AI fighting AI,” Buzinov explained. “Hackers are leveraging machine learning to power increasingly complex phishing attacks, and defenders must respond in kind—with equally advanced AI defenses.”

Buzinov pointed out that this arms race between adversarial and defensive AI is reshaping the entire cybersecurity industry. Minimizing the human factor and automating decision-making processes, he says, are now key to survival in a threat environment evolving at machine speed.

He called on Russian businesses to invest in AI-powered threat detection, response automation, and adaptive security systems—tools that could radically boost resilience against the rising tide of digital threats.
