Robert Vasilyev Says Generative AI Is Opening the Path to AI-Led Organizations

Russian experts describe the mass adoption of artificial intelligence as “only the beginning,” with AI expected to take on project leadership roles in the near future.

More than 70 percent of Russian companies adopted artificial intelligence to solve at least one task in 2025. These figures were published by analysts at Yandex. Over the year, the number of business requests for AI implementation rose by 50 percent.

Government officials note that AI is being used most actively in public-sector areas such as healthcare, public administration, and security.

The Path Toward AI Management

“Generative AI, including large language models, opens the path not just to AI agents for isolated tasks, but to entire AI departments, AI top management, and even AI CEOs for organizations,” says Robert Vasilyev, founder and head of the Center for Artificial Intelligence in Information Technologies at Z-UNION. “Such systems would have access to all organizational data and would be free from human biases and other human limitations. This is entirely realistic in cases where companies have gone through a high-quality process of collecting up-to-date business and process data, and where there is political will to experiment and test.”

According to Vasilyev, in 2026 the news agenda will increasingly feature stories about AI CEOs or AI participation in boards of directors at large systems and corporations. And this, he says, will be only the beginning.
