AI Saves 10,000 Work Hours by Counting Visitors in Russian Cultural Centers
A neural network deployed in Moscow Region parks and libraries has processed more than 220,000 photos, streamlining event management and saving staff thousands of work hours.

Cultural institutions in the Moscow Region are seeing tangible benefits from artificial intelligence. For over a year, staff have used a neural network to process event photos. Since the project’s launch in April 2024, the AI has analyzed more than 220,000 images.
According to the Ministry of Public Administration, IT, and Communications of the Moscow Region, the system reviews photos, counts attendees, and generates detailed reports with 99 percent accuracy.
The technology has improved operations at more than 1,000 venues across the region. Event organizers can now adjust schedules based on actual visitor numbers.
In total, the digital assistant has counted over 850,000 people and saved employees up to 10,000 work hours annually.
