Total spending by Russian businesses and individuals on IT services grew by 23 percent in 2024, reaching 883.3 billion rubles (about 9716 million USD), according to Quadrant Technologies experts.
Analysts noted that demand for data center and cloud services increased by two-thirds, reflecting the growing need for flexible and secure IT solutions, as well as the rising importance of AI and cybersecurity technologies.
They emphasized that ready-to-use solutions with fast results are in higher demand than those requiring significant investment and long implementation times. Businesses are particularly interested in turnkey software-hardware systems, cloud platforms, and rapidly deployable IT packages.
The study found that much of the demand surge was driven by interest in artificial intelligence, especially among companies in finance, telecom, media, and retail.
According to forecasts from Stream Consulting, the Russian IT market will expand at an average annual rate of 11 percent, growing to 1.617 trillion rubles (about 17787 million USD) by 2029. Spending on cloud, AI, and cybersecurity solutions is expected to increase further.
