Russian Marketplace Launches Virtual Clothing Try-On via Photo
Wildberries has introduced a new AI-powered feature in its app that lets users virtually try on clothes using their own photos, aiming to personalize online shopping and reduce returns.

Russian tech company RVB has developed a new tool called 'Client Fitting' for Wildberries, the country’s largest online marketplace. Wildberries founder Tatyana Kim announced the launch at the 10th Eastern Economic Forum, TASS reported.
According to the company’s press service, the feature allows users to try on clothes using their own images. A new button labeled 'See item on me' now appears on product pages. Shoppers can tap it and upload a photo—either taken in real time or selected from their gallery.
The system is powered by computer vision and artificial intelligence technologies that analyze the uploaded photo and overlay the chosen clothing item onto the user’s body, taking individual proportions into account.
Currently, the button is available in test mode, with feedback being collected from both sellers and customers to further refine the technology.
